About Me
I began my Scouting career as a Wolf in Cub Scouts in 1968 with Pack 5, meeting at Grant Elementary School in Tacoma WA. My mother, Betty Klouse, was our Den Mother, and she always had great crafts and fun games for our boys. Though I finished Webelos and joined Troop 5, due to poor adult supervision & leadership in the Troop, I regretably lost interest in Scouting and quit the Troop. I re-entered my scouting career when Evan, my oldest son, asked to Join Cub Scouts in 2003. At first I was just a "helper Dad", but the following year I was Assistant Den Leader, followed by 4 years as CubMaster. My youngest son joined two years later as a Tiger, with my wife Lois leading his Den. I am now in transition, leading my wife's Den as Webelos II, as well as working as an ASM for Troop 7, and looking forward to "graduating" to Troop 7 with my youngest this coming winter.
